14.5 mile training run

Submitted by on August 24, 2009 – 7:42 amNo Comment

Wow that run was ok, good and bad. I felt good for the 1st half. About 3 miles into my run I felt like I almost broke my left ankle. I felt and hoped that I didn’t as I was running. I think the first minute after I twisted it a little, I was scared and hoped that it wasn’t broken. I guess if it was broken that I would have fallen over and wouldn’t have been able to walk.

I felt discomfort but jogged it off. I was scared because I didn’t know where I was going. It was a new place and a new trail for me to go this far. I only hoped that my brother would have been able to pick me up rather than me making a round trip back to my house. I guess it was ok since I did run that far.

I wanted to go all the way to REI, so I could take a look at some things but that didn’t go as planned. Next week I have a 16 mile run. I wonder where that is going to take me.
