Am I Crazy?

31 08 2008

I just ran a half marathon this morning. The Disneyland Half Marathon to be exact. I finished in 2 hours 3 minutes and 23 seconds. I set a goal to try to beat 2 hours. I last one mile was tough. My thoughts were crazy throughout the run. Can I break the time? Well also now I am also going to to do the Nike Human Race in Los Angeles. My friend called me saying I am crazy. I think I kinda am. Nobody I know really runs this much. Well maybe there are.

I have a future goal in mind. I am planning on running 29 miles on my birthday which is about a month and a half away. Am I crazy? Maybe. I think I love running but hate that I am not as fast as I would like to be. I think I just have to pursue it more and things will get easier.

I am also planning on starting another round of P90X.

Well, I have about 5 more days till the Disneyland Half Marathon. I know I am ready for it, I just don’t know if I am ready to do it under 2 hours. Last year I did 2:09:39. I have to beat that its a must. Wish me luck. I have a 8 mile run today. I think I will do a tempo run.

back from new orleans

Hey yall, I just got back from new orleans. It was fun. I don’t know what to tell all of you but it is a place that everyone should see. I just wish I had more time to do things. Bourbon Street was interesting and different. Can’t put into words all the different things to see there. I wanted to do a swamp tour to see the alligators and stuff, but we didn’t have time. Maybe if I ever get a chance to go there again…

running

Well, I haven’t said much for this site. I have continued my running and stopped my triathlon training. Motivation has been low. I think I love running more than anything. It seems easier to me but is tougher on my body. I don’t have to bring all this stuff with me and I can go out and do it anywhere except for the fact that I run at Miramar Lake most often. So I did 12 miles yesterday to see what my pace would be. I did the first 6 miles in about an hour for a 10 minute pace. The next 6 I tried to pick up the pace. It didn’t seem any more better at the end because I only saved about 2 minutes overall. My first 6 miles I was trying to run at a 155 bpm while the last 6 I was going anywhere between 160 and 170. I think this run helped my see what I need to do for the Disneyland half marathon on August 31st.
