Christmas 2009

Well it just passed and things are ok. I need to get a new schedule in here. I feel that I am off a little bit because of the holidays with everything that I am doing. I just feel off. I don’t know if its me or just everything that has been happening in my life.

I have about 4 weeks till my marathon. I don’t feel nervous about it really. I just feel anxious. I do have a goal in mind but I know its going to be tough for me to get to. I have to put in some work here in the next 27 or so days. I am $400 dollars away from my goal for fundraising for Team In Training. I initially wanted more but I guess I will take what I can get.

I want to get back into P90X and Insanity but this running thing is a little annoying. My PT is going well. I know I should be working more harder at it. I need to stretch and concentrate on my hips and legs a lot more. I just wish it would go away. My feet are the real issue here. I am getting older and I feel it more now. I can’t just get up and do things anymore. I feel non rested during some days and I know there are ways to get better.

I haven’t run for more than one week now. I feel like I might be digging myself into a deeper hole to get out of when I get to the marathon. I have to tell myself that this is it here. I love to run just not in the winter. I do prefer working out earlier so when the evenings come I just don’t want to go to the gym anymore.

The Ragnar Relay is coming up also. I don’t think my team is very motivated. There are 17 weeks till we get there. I don’t think my whole team will be able to get to a 11 min/mile pace in that time. we need to get there asap. I think we should have an experienced team to get where we need to be at. I don’t want to say that I told you so.

  • That rss option on your website here is magnificent, you should tell people about it in your upcoming post. I haven’t noted it for the first couple of times, now I’m using it each morning to check on any updates. I’m on a really slow dial-up connection in Australia and it’s rather frustrating to sit there and wait for such a long time ’til the page loads… but hey, I just found your rss page and added it to the Google Reader and there you are… I’m always up-to-date! Well pal, keep up the good work and make that rss button a little bigger so that other people can enjoy that as well :-P
