Me and my finacee both have completed month one following the diet fairly religiously. (which is more time consuming than the workouts). However only 2 weeks in and I lost 8 pounds. We're as mentioned, a month in now tens of pounds lost and the fiancee although bot seeing as drastic results whieght wise (she already ran marathons) has lost some weight but inches all over.

Into our second month and we're both so impressed we will stay the diet and the program till completion. It's tough but I have lower back problems (compressed vertebrea) and since starting have yet to take the painkillers I'm typically prescribed... haven't been in shape like this since highschool.

I just started using P90X and I have to say it's one of the hardest workouts I've ever tried. I've been going to the gym for the past 5 years and just finished my first half-marathon, but I couldn't believe the cardio workout I got from the plyometrics CD. It's definitley not for everyone, and you really have to work hard, but if you're ready to push yourself its an awesome workout!

I do think it has an effect based on age. I think maybe some of the baby boomers wouldn't get the effective results immediately because how intense the workouts are but can still get them if they keep on doing them.

Does the P90x have an effect based upon age? I'm interested to know if babyboomers would try a program such as this one and have the changes that younger people get.

Mark, I am puzzled why you think you need stronger legs for swimming. I am a convert to total immersion and I hardly kick at all.

Concentrate on rotation - Someone once said to me - "Imagine you have a magnet on your hip that magnetizes to the bottom."

You are doing the right thing by concentrating on technique. If you try to go too far or fast - your technique will fall off a cliff.

I found you through youtube and p90x. I was reading below where you said you were going to start p90x, but according to youtube you have already done it!?

I was going to askhow you liked the program if you had done it. I started it Monday, so I am on day 3 tonight. I can tell how weak my pullups are, man!

Something else, I've done several triathlons and marathons if you ever have questions. I've done from sprint, olympic, and 1/2 IM, and I've done 3 or 4 1/2 marathons and 2 full marathons. I'm doing p90x just for overall fitness, lowering bodyfat, and I was getting burnt out on tri/marathon training over the past 2 years. Here is a good site for you too ontri.com.

Well hit me up and let me know about p90x and if you have any tri questions.

Mdac, you the man! I respect you are on your way to your first triathalon. I really like your website and how you breakdown your goals. Is it easy to make your website?

I need to check your bike out next time.

Let me know when your next swim is. I may want to try it out.

Sorry I didn't get back sooner AJ, but P90X did wonders for me. I haven't kept up with it but I do believe it will definitely help out for the better. I do think that if you can keep up with it the results will show. The diet plan is key though.

What's up Mark. I just started getting trying to get back into shape. I travel full time and have gained a few pounds eating out all the time. I figure you've passed the 90 day mark. How are you feeling about P90's results? I watched the workout on youtube, and it's obviously challenging. Just wanted to gather a few opinions before purchasing.
