December 27, 2009 5 mile run

Submitted by on December 29, 2009 – 11:51 amNo Comment

This run was a little different from the others. I went at a slower pace. I had new shoes to break in. I think I did ok. I did feel heavy in the feet. I haven’t run in 9 days. That is not good. I have a long run of 20 miles this weekend. I don’t know if I will make it through the run. I will have to run today and tomorrow just to get my feet accustomed to the distance. I probably will have to go slower this time around. I forgot one time during the run to start the watch. I tend to stop my watch when I get to a stoplight just to factor out the time waiting at the light. I hate that. I actually ran about 5.16 miles. I was at 2.58 at the half way point to return back home. I did like it more this time than running the other way I did a couple of weeks ago. It was way better than running on the treadmill also. I feel a little sore today but its to be expected though.
