Insanity Day 42 Rest Day

Submitted by on August 26, 2009 – 7:15 am2 Comments

So I decided to get a small exercise in today this morning. And since I felt a little inspired I decided to go with Xstretch from P90X. I love that video. It is a different pace from Insanity and P90X, but it does help stretch out the body. It only made me burn about 100 calories during the hour workout. I think I needed it and almost felt like I was doing this again for the first time. I knew that from the beginning that my flexibility had suffered a little bit. I almost felt new completing this workout. I think also as in the YogaX video that your flexibility increases as the video progresses. I felt great at the end of the workout and wanted more but had to finish before going to work.

Hey i just read one of your blogs and i seen u are doing insanity. I did p90x and was thinking about tryin insanity, how would u say it compares?

insanity is a different type of workout overall. did you like plyometrics and workouts such as that? it is compared to that but at a whole new level. I compare it to p90x+ with the interval x + and the kenpo cardio +. This will make you work till you can’t workout. if you have finished p90x then this is a good move to go to. it involves no weights just you and the floor. This is something that will push the limits of your cardio fitness. This will raise your heart rate more than p90x I think. I was nervous after doing the first workout what was in store for me next.
