What a run today!! I made a goal for myself to run a little faster than last week. I was averaging about 2:15 or so per 1/4 mile for a total of 5 miles. I never really ran straight nonstop. I did it only for the first time Thanksgiving day running with a friend that wanted to improve his stamina. So I ran with him for 4 miles straight averaging about 10 minute mile.

Last week I ran 5 miles going for an easy pace. This week I was thinking of running a little faster trying to run 2:10 or faster if posible. I did run it that way and ended up going for my PR for this 5 mile run at Miramar Lake. My total time at the end was a total of 42:07. That is dramatic improvement over last year where I ran a time of 43:xx something minutes. I think my progress is getting better along with doing P90X.

The only thing I wonder about is the fact that I don’t really stretch or warm up before the run. I do some jogging in place and some minor kicks beforehand. At the end I feel fine. I do a lot of stretching at the end usually doing 4 to 5 minutes of stretching. Maybe I am a little lucky with not getting sore…
