Ragnar Relay 2010

Submitted by on November 19, 2009 – 10:31 amNo Comment

So we had our first meeting regarding this run. We had about 75% of our team and we discussed things that we plan and want to do. There were a lot of things on my mind but I just wanted to hear more about what others were thinking and what other plans the group had.

I didn’t mind the thoughts that everyone was saying but I think we need to concentrate on our training initially. The rule book was something we had to look at so we can better understand the rules and how we are supposed to go about the relay.

I know that we are going to try to do some training as a group. I know we need to start asap and to follow the training plan closely just to get to where we need to be. My only concern are some of the runners not being able to run the minimum of 11 minute pace. We have about 5 months and this is just not finishing the race type of relay. We need to keep the pace and to be able to get through each stage.

I am a little anxious and scared at the same time with what our team is going to do. One of the team members boyfriend is going to film our journey and make a film out of it. It is kind cool that he wants to do that. We also have a cause that we will be running for and it is the Beacon of Hope. We hope to help spread awareness and raise some money for it.

If you have run the Ragnar and have some tips please leave a comment as I would like to know if you have an tips you could share to help our team out!
