Review: One on One Tony Horton: Cardio 5-6 (Super Cardio)

Submitted by on April 22, 2009 – 9:32 am2 Comments

I want to say that I love the One on One workouts with Tony Horton. I like how it is unscripted and you find yourself trying to compete to keep up with the man.

If you haven’t attempted P90X and maybe even the P90X+ workouts then this workout will really punish you. It might be a little short compared to the P90X workouts but I was wanting to push pause throughout this workout. I wish I had my heart rate monitor but it broke about a year ago and since then I haven’t gotten a new one.

The workouts are setup almost like Interval X+ but you do 3 moves and repeat them for 3 rounds then you do a total of 3 different sets of these. The total video is 47 minutes while the last 10 or so is some cool down and stretching.

Once I started the video, we immediately started doing a warmup with jumping and doing jacks. After that we immediately jumped into stretching the body.

After that mumbo jumbo came the real cardio. I was huffing and puffing throughout the workout. Anything to do with squats and jumping will raise your heart rate. You do a combination of that with punching and some running. I was almost dying through the first round. The first two rounds are killer while the last one you can catch your breath. I would recommend to add this to workout the normal P90X routine as it gives a new workout to the whole routine.

Got any questions or comments let me know. If you are looking for the video here it is: One on One with Tony Horton
